1. Distance between components
Note the distance between electronic components. Leave sufficient spacing between the two components
Place components around silkscreens and assembly lines

2. Choosing electronic components
Select components during the design phase. In order to ensure that there will not be much difference between the design and the actual assembly, the size and space of the components should be considered in the PCBA design stage. For example, choose smaller components to reduce footprint.

Select components with suitable cycle to avoid problems such as insufficient inventory and delayed delivery in the PCBA process.

3. The minimum line width of the copper foil
Single panel 0.3mm, double panel 0.2mm The minimum copper foil on the side is also 1.0mm.

4. Leaded and lead-free components
There are leaded components and lead-free components that are used separately.Do not mix leaded and lead-free components. If one component decides to use lead-free, then all components must use lead-free components.

5. large electronic components
Place large components evenly. In order to achieve uniform heating during the reflow soldering process, large components are evenly placed in the PCBA design.

Besides, the size of soldering pad should be more larger according to the size of electronic components.

6. Electronic component and PCB edge distance
The SMD components should not be too close to the edge of the PCB board. Especially when using V-grooves, the best edge distance is 150 mils (3.8 mm).

7. Drill bit
The drill bit used in the PCB drilling process should not be too small. Due to the density of BGA, 18.5mil pads and 8mil drilling are ideal.DRILL BIT

8. SMD and THT
SMD is at least 150mil away from THT to facilitate selective wave soldering assembly.

9. Mounting holes
Tool holes defined in the drill diagram with the appropriate center point and drill diameter. Leave sufficient clearance around the mounting holes.

10. Manufacturing technologies
Avoid mixed manufacturing processes as much as possible. If you use plug-ins, try to put all the plug-ins on one side of the board, thereby reducing the cost and time of PCB manufacturing and assembly.

11. Package size
Select the appropriate package size.

12. BOM
Keep the PCB BOM updated at design time. Keep an eye on the BOM as your design changes. When you add new components like schematics during the PCBA design process, in addition to making sure that the correct part numbers and descriptions are used, you should also pay attention to updating the BOM.

The use of panels improves production efficiency and enhances the applicability of the production line.panel

14. Check
Footprint. Component footprint is a major aspect of PCBA design.
Component metrics. Ensure that metrics are present for all components.
Each connection of each component must have its own independent pad.

15. DFM
DFM testing can identify any errors in the PCBA design at an early stage, such as spacing between components, component polarity, packaging and other issues, thus avoiding costly losses and delays in the later stage.
